Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada is a young schoolboy who is particularly incapable, whether in studies, sports or social relations. One day, a tutor is sent to him from Italy, it is Reborn, a baby hitman, henchman of the Vongola mafia family, who has come to make him fit to become the next godfather of the family of which he turns out to be the distant heir.

Reborn's main instrument in making Tsuna a successful man is a special bullet that allows the recipient to have enough energy to fulfill his last wish.
