The 1970 Dodge Charger first appeared in the 2001 film “The Fast and the Furious” as the race car once used by Dominic Toretto’s father. Now owned by Dominic, the car was stored because he was afraid of its power. Dominic didn’t drive it until he raced and ultimately crashed it in the final racing scene in the film. The Charger, as seen in the movie, was heavily modified for drag racing. It featured a blown Hemi engine, Torqueflite transmission, racing gauges as well as a full roll cage and sheet metal interior with a single driver’s seat.
