Buck is a male Tyrannosaurus Rex and the second antagonist in The Lost World: Jurassic Park. He is the individual that hunter Roland Tembo attempts to hunt on his journey to Isla Sorna with the InGen Harvest team. This T. Rex is then drugged by Tembo and taken to San Diego, where he escapes and runs amok, before finally being recaptured and brought back to Isla Sorna with his son.

All the computer models built for Jurassic Park were originally female, but male models had to be added for The Lost World. After receiving the Winston model of the male T. Rex - which had a slightly different head structure - Paul Giacoppo and his team used it as the basis for their work. Susan Ross and her paint team also created new paints for the males, based on Winston's designs, including the tiger-striped raptors and the camouflage pattern of the male T. Rex.
