In 1999, episode 1 of the Star Wars films was released in theaters. “The Phantom Menace” deals with efforts to resolve a conflict between the isolated planet Naboo and the Trade Federation. During the plot, two Jedi are forced to land on the desert planet Tatooine. There they meet the young Anakin Skywalker, who has enormous potential and raises hopes of having found a possible very powerful Jedi. To free the young Skywalker from slavery, he must first win a race where it is a matter of life and death. For this race, Anakin uses a podracer that he builds with his own hands from a stock of parts sorted from a scrap dealer. The heart of the high-performance racing machine lies in the turbines located at the front, which drive the pilot's area with them. The braking effect of the three movable blades at the front allows for fast flight, even in tight turns. Anakin's creation, which can reach speeds of up to 947 km/h, is quite small and not very robust, but it has great maneuverability and a high top speed.
