The comic book and the films
Captain America is a comic book superhero created by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon for Marvel Comics. He made his first appearance in the Captain America Comics # 1 comic book in 1940.
Endowed with superhuman physical condition thanks to the Super Soldier Serum, Captain America is an outstanding fighter, leader and accomplished military strategist. He wears a costume inspired by the American flag and is equipped with an almost indestructible shield which he uses both as protection and as a weapon.
Designed to be an American patriotic figure in reaction to the Nazi regime, Captain America becomes active before the United States officially enters the war in WWII and will be seen as a defender of the free world.
In 2011, Captain America was brought to the big screen, played by Chris Evans, and was introduced in Marvel Studios' Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films; MCU which debuted in 2008 with the movie Iron Man.
We discover Captain America in an origin story, his battles against the HYDRA organization led by Red Skull, and the Winter Soldier who is none other than his friend, Bucky Barnes, to then integrate the Avengers, the superhero team imagined by Nick Fury and with Iron Man as leader.
He appears in Captain America: First Avenger (2011), Avengers (2012), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), respectively. ), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
