The Movies

In 2014, Marvel Studios created a surprise with the release of the Guardians of the Galaxy, an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the success was immediate. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will follow in 2017.

The first film highlights the band of Peter Quill aka Star-Lord. Star-Lord is an outlaw who works for mercenaries, the Ravagers, under Yondu's command. Star-Lord will team up with Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket and Groot to counter Ronan the Accuser, employed by the Titan Thanos, who is looking for an orb containing one of the six Infinity Stones.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, our heroes travel from planet to planet and sell their services. One of their missions will lead them to alienate the proud race of Sovereigns who send a fleet of ships to their tail. Star-Lord and his team are forced into a crash landing on a mysterious planet where they meet Ego who presents himself as the father of Peter Quill; the latter being half human. But Ego, who is actually the planet they are on, wants to use Star-Lord to accomplish his plan.

In 2018 and 2019, Guardians of the Galaxy return to the big screen alongside the Avengers to fight Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame..
